Enjoy traditional clogging and square dancing lessons with Bill Nichols, the Grandfather of Modern Clogging.
Bill began working in Fontana Village in 1956.  The resort's guests would watch its young staff members clog.  All of the visitors wanted to learn how to do the traditional dance steps.  Bill researched Appalachian dancing and worked with Western North Carolina University to develop a vocabulary for mountain dance and clogging.  He has instructed dance across the United States.

Beginners are welcome to the afternoon class - this is great for the entire family.
At 8 pm  join Bill for a  Smoky Mountain Dance in Fontana Village's Recreation Hall.
