Your packages will be waiting here for you when you arrive. A courtesy phone is conveniently located at the Fontana Marina restrooms as you come off the trail for shuttle service to the Village.


The sheer beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains cannot be accurately described in words. It has to be experienced. Famous naturalists and photographers alike have been coming to the southern Appalachian Mountains for well over a century. Their legacy is a national treasure that we simply call "The Smokies", the jewel of the American National Parks system.




Fontana maintains over twenty miles of hiking and mountain biking trails in the mountains surrounding the Village. The trails vary in terrain from the casual creek-side hike along Lewellyn Cove to some of the most exciting back-country mountain bike trails in the mountains. Day hiking enthusiasts are treated to an amazing assortment of plants and fauna while trekking through the forested trails.


Historical Hike Series at Proctor
Shuttle Boat leaves Fontana Marina docks at 12:00 Noon. Charge is $15 per person. Call ahead to 828.498.2122 for reservations for an afternoon on Fontana Lake and a hike up to Proctor- a thriving logging town in the early 1900's. Trip will last 2-3 hours. Maximum of 15 guests per excursion.
