All
hikes meet in the Village General Store
at 10:00 am every Saturday morning. Boat shuttles are free
for FHC members and $10 for non-members.Membership is free until April 26,
2008.
Those who participate in hikes can gather rewards. 5 hikes
equal
Fontana Hiking Club sticker. 10 hikes equal Fontana Hiking
Club patch. 15 hikes equal Fontana hiking Club shirt. 20
hikes equal free night at Fontana Village. Those who
are members of Fontana Hiking Club and are staying overnight

10:00am Fontana Hiking Club • Twenty Mile Trail
A moderate morning hike in the Twenty Mile Ranger district with beautiful waters and dense forest in the southwest quadrant of the National Park.
10:00 AM • Hazel and Eagle Creek Tour
Monday and Thursday
2pm • Scenic Lake Tour to Fontana Dam. Lasts about 1 hour. Cost is $15 for adults, $7.50 ages 11 & under; under age 4 free. Minimum 4 people. Meet at Marina.
Wednesday
10:00 AM • Hazel and Eagle Creek Tour
Join author and historian Jerry for a pontoon ride and hike on Hazel and Eagle Creek across Fontana Lake. This tour gives perspective on what took place in the mountains before the establishment of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Bring a lunch and appropriate hiking gear. The hike is an easy 1.5 miles. The trip lasts about 4 hours. Reservations recommended by calling marina at 2129. Meet at the Marina. FEE: $15 for adult and $7.50 for children 12 and under

wet & have fun on the Nantahala River. Wildwater
Rafting will pick you up at the Outfitter parking lot
and take you to the Nantahala for a guided raft trip
that is sure to be a highlight of your vacation. Cost
is $45 per person.

undisturbed creekside trails, meandering into
the heart of the Great Smoky MountainsNational

trailhead is accessible by foot using the Lakeshore

for access and pick-up are available at the

in the village center is stocked with hiking
