Fontana Marina. Fontana Dam, NC - Dock master Ronnie Crisp reports that the fish are still biting on Fontana Lake right now! The cooler nights are producing ideal lake temperatures for a great day on the lake!
Small and Large Mouth Bass, as well as Blue Gills are hitting on crickets if you are trolling on the points. They are also hitting on jerk bait and grub if you cast into the banks.
The Trout and Walleye action is beginning to slow down, but you can still find them over near the Dam. They are hitting on night crawlers and crickets.
Come on out and enjoy the beautiful, cooler weather! Lake conditions are perfect for daytime or nighttime fishing with easy access to the stream heads along the southern shores of the national park. The Marina Store is fully stocked with bait and tackle.
