Fontana Marina. Fontana Dam, NC 05.10.12- Dockmaster Ronnie Crisp and Captain Danny Williams report the lake action is still hot with Small Mouth Bass stepping it up this week again.

The Small Mouth Bass are starting to come off the beds and feeding like mad on jerk baits, crank baits and tube jigs. The Walleye are tearing up night crawlers on lead heads up against the banks in muddy pockets and at night under the lights. The Large Mouth Bass are still feeding off the beds primarily on white and black tube jigs, frogs and bright colored floating worms.

Lake levels are rising steadily for easier access to the stream heads and the Marina Ship Store is fully stocked with bait and tackle.
