Fontana Marina. Fontana Dam, NC - Dock master Ronnie Crisp reports that the fish are biting on Fontana Lake right now! The cool weather and the lower lake levels of the late fall and winter are providing the ideal conditions for a perfect day of fishing.

Small Mouth and Spotted Bass are hitting on lucky craft jerk bait, spinner bait, tube jigs, live shiners and gulp minnows. These moody creatures can be tricky to catch sometimes, so bring your best fishing strategies with you.

Come on out and enjoy the crisp winter weather! Lake conditions are perfect for daytime fishing with easy access to the stream heads along the southern shores of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Marina Store is fully stocked with bait and tackle.
